Short Bio
Dr. Sara Raven is an assistant professor of science education at Texas A&M University. Her research often focuses on engaging in authentic science with underrepresented student groups. Most recently, she has developed studies to determine the science learning needs of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children, as well as the science learning capabilities of preschool-age children. Dr. Raven has disseminated her work in peer-reviewed journals, books, and national and international conferences. Dr. Raven is deeply passionate about her work, and is committed to continuing to pursue equity in science education.
