BIOGRAPHY
Erin A. Singer serves as the Lead Coordinator for Project MOOPIL (Massive Open Online Professional Individualized Learning) at the Educational Leadership Research Center at Texas A&M University. She received her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction in 2019 from Texas A&M University from the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture. She also holds a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as an Educational Specialist in Teacher Leadership. She taught elementary and secondary English as a Second Language and English/Language Arts for 13 years in public K-12 schools in Texas. Erin taught Introduction to the Teaching Profession and adult ESL at Lone Star College for five years and taught Social Studies Methods and Human Growth and Learning at Sam Houston State University for four years. She also taught Social Studies Methods courses at Texas A&M University for two years as a graduate assistant. Overall, Erin has over 20 years of teaching experience in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary institutions. Her research interests include pre-service teacher preparation programs, mentoring pre-service and novice teachers, teacher burnout and stress, virtual mentoring of K-12 ESL/Bilingual teachers, and online teaching and learning.
