Christine Bergeron is a Clinical Professor and serves as the Director of Dance. She has a BA in Dance from the University of Akron and graduated from Florida State University with a Master's of Fine Arts degree in Choreography in Performance. Currently she is working towards her PhD in Dance Science from the University of Wolverhampton where she is conducting research on the effectiveness of Pilates on dancers. She is certified in Pilates Mat and and Associate Instructor for the Pilates Apparatus from Physical Mind and Balanced Body. Prior to coming to TAMU she taught as adjunct faculty at Florida State University and taught at the Palm Beach County School of the Arts. She was co-director, choreographer and dancer of Women's Dance Project while living in Tallahassee, Florida. Along with colleague Carisa Armstrong, she was the co-artistic director of the Armstrong/Bergeron Dance Company from 2003-2010. Her choreographic work has been presented in New York, California, Illinois, Florida, Ohio, Texas, Mexico and Scotland.
