CAC EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Counseling and Assessment Clinic (CAC) is a therapy, assessment, research, and training clinic providing psychological services to underserved community members. The CAC prepares CPSY and SPSY doctoral students as part of their health service psychology education and training.

SPSY 683 SCHOOL-BASED PRACTICUM
The student applies the knowledge and skills obtained during graduate coursework, including, but not limited to the following: assessment for intervention; direct interventions such as counseling, behavior management; indirect services such as consultation, in-service, and program evaluation. The student performs a variety of school psychologist activities with children with and without disabilities of all ages.

SPSY 683 THERAPY PRACTICUM
This course is designed to provide an introductory practicum experience in clinic-based psychotherapy with children and adolescents. This course will provide you with hands-on experience in conducting intake assessments, formulating and implementing treatment plans, evaluating client progress, writing clinical reports (e.g., intake reports), and completing clinic paperwork.

SPSY 612 INDIVIDUAL ASSESSMENT
Educational and clinical applications of individual assessment; diagnostic measures of intelligence, perception and/or achievement. Integration of test results into an educational assessment report including instructional and educational recommendations.
SPSY 613 CRISIS INTERVENTION IN THE SCHOOLS
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of school-based crisis intervention. Emphasis will be placed on situational crises and the development and implementation of crisis intervention and prevention plans within the school setting. Differing models of crisis intervention, models of coping with crisis and critical incidents, as well as the efficacy of crisis intervention will be discussed. Opportunities for PFA-S and PREPaRE Workshops 1 and 2 available.
