Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Jia Wang received her Ph.D. in Human Resource and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia in 2004. She joined the Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University as an Assistant Professor in 2007. Dr. Wang teaches graduate courses in the educational human resource development program and is a vital contributor to the curriculum design. Dr. Wang's research focuses on critical and contemporary HRD issues in five interacting dimensions: international/national and cross-cultural HRD, workplace learning, organizational crisis management, workplace incivility, and career/family issues. She has published 55 peer-reviewed journal articles, 1 book, and 9 book chapters, as well as edited two refereed journal issues. She has made over 160 presentations at international/national research conferences. Dr. Wang has graduated 35 Ph.D. students as the dissertation chair and more than 130 MS students as their chair, as well as completed 32 dissertations as a committee member. Her competence as a researcher, teacher, and student mentor is well-recognized and has garnered her a number of prestigious awards from the Academy of Human Resource Development and Texas A&M University, including the most recent award as the Texas A&M University Presidential Impact Fellow.
