BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Dan (Dalun) Zhang is Professor of Special Education and Director of Faculty Development for the College of Education and Human Development. He is also the Director of the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University. His research interest is centered on assisting youth with disabilities to make a successful transition from high school to adulthood. Over the course of his career, Dr. Zhang has been able to secure over $20 million in external funding for research, teaching, and demonstration projects. He has published over 80 research papers in peer-reviewed refereed journals, several book chapters, and many reports. Dr. Zhang has delivered over 100 research and keynote presentations at international/national levels. Dr. Zhang served as Chair of the Special Education Program, Research Coordinator, and Center Director. He also served as Vice President, Vice Chair, President-elect, and President for different professional organizations, including the Division on Career Development and Transition of the CEC and the Council on Research and Evaluation of the AUCD (Association of University Centers on Disabilities). In addition, Dr. Zhang has served on the editorial boards of several journals.
