Research Specialist II
Curriculum Vitae
I’m a bilingual professional currently working with the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University as a Research Specialist II and Site Manager North for the Heart of Texas GEAR UP grant program. In previous roles, I worked for a school district as an interpreter and translator for the special education department, also as a substitute teacher and home-based tutor for the bilingual department. I’m an efficient bilingual employee with a strong background working under pressure.

I earned my masters degree in bilingual education in 2024 and I'm pursuing doctoral studies in bilingual education/ESL. My research interests reside in the Spanish language maintenance and multiculturalism. My field practicum topic was: Spanish language preservation and its correct use in emergent bilinguals in third grade while acquiring English as a second language.

In my initial professional pathway, I worked for ten years for multinational insurance companies and banking institutions working as a Sr. Executive and Sales Manager opening new branch offices. I have worked in banking and customer service areas including sales reports development and financial analysis, budgeting, recruitment, insurance documents production and claim processing with supervisory duties.
