Dr. Ashlynn Kogut is an associate professor in the Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture. She teaches and advises on evidence synthesis methods, including systematic reviews and scoping reviews. She has worked in academic and medical libraries in a variety of roles including instruction, assessment, outreach, and collection development. She is currently chair elect of the ACRL Education and Behavioral Sciences Section. She received her PhD in educational administration from Texas A&M University. Her current research projects focus on evidence synthesis methods in education and online source evaluation strategies of preservice teachers.

COURSES TAUGHT
EDCI 689. SPTP: Systematic Review Methodology in Education
This course focuses on systematic review methodology in the field of education and is designed for students to acquire practical skills in evidence synthesis. In this course, students will work through the systematic review process step-by-step from idea formation to synthesis of results. This course will also critically examine the role of systematic reviews within the education discipline. This course prepares students for conducting systematic reviews on their own topics.
