Anita Lang is the Program Director for Aggie ACHIEVE. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University (’02) and a Master’s degree in Business Administration/Management from the University of Phoenix (’07). Prior to Aggie ACHIEVE, spent nearly two decades at the local Mental Health Authority, where she worked as an Intellectual and Developmental (IDD) Service Coordinator then promoted to a Program Specialist II. In this role, she supervised IDD Intake/Access, Service Coordination for the Texas Home Living and Home and Community-Based Services (HCS) Medicaid Waiver Programs, as well as Crisis Services for individuals with IDD. She has extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities in person-centered planning, crisis prevention, assessment, monitoring, and service planning. Anita works closely with the Aggie ACHIEVE team to support the Aggie ACHIEVE program and students in obtaining their academic and employment goals.
As Program Director, Anita is committed to expanding the reach and impact of Aggie ACHIEVE. She is inspired by the students’ determination and the transformative power of Aggie ACHIEVE’s inclusive postsecondary education. It is her mission to continue building a program that uplifts, empowers, and prepares the students for success in all areas of life.
