Tekeisha Zimmerman
Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Tekeisha Zimmerman is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Human Resource Development at Texas A&M University. Her teaching, research, and practice focus on pedagogical approaches that strengthen engagement, meaning making, and learning transfer across both corporate and higher education environments. She studies how learning experiences can be intentionally designed to move beyond information delivery toward transformation in how individuals think, act, and lead.
As a practitioner-based educator with more than fifteen years of industry experience leading global learning and development initiatives, Dr. Zimmerman brings a design-forward perspective to her work. She integrates research, real-world cases, and applied projects to help learners develop the skills needed to facilitate learning, influence others, and navigate complex organizational challenges.
Her research examines how instructional design, storytelling, and participatory learning methods shape learner engagement and leadership readiness. She is particularly interested in how pedagogical strategies drawn from diverse knowledge traditions can be adapted across contexts to build connection, reflection, and action. Through her service, conference speaking, and practitioner collaborations, Dr. Zimmerman works to bridge academic insight and practice, supporting educators, facilitators, and organizations in creating learning experiences that are both rigorous and human-centered.
