Dr. Greenwood serves as the Director of the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program. Originally from the Northwest, Dr. Greenwood received her B.A. in Kinesiology at the University of Washington and her M.Ed. at Oregon State University in Exercise Science where she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer. Dr. Greenwood stayed on at OSU as a full-time staff athletic trainer and. completed her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in Exercise Science at Oregon State University. Dr. Greenwood then moved to Florida where she worked as an Assistant Professor at Barry University in the accredited athletic training education program (ATEP), followed by a position as the ATEP program director and tenured professor at Arkansas State University where she began the first ATEP in the state to be nationally accredited. Dr. Greenwood received the Arkansas State Athletic Trainer of the Year award for her efforts. After leaving ASU, Dr. Greenwood was hired as an Associate Professor at Baylor University in Waco, TX to assist in seeking accreditation for their undergraduate ATEP and to create a post-professional graduate program in athletic training. After 7 years at Baylor University, Dr. Greenwood moved to College Station and designed a professional level master's program in athletic training at Texas A&M University which has received CAATE accreditation.
Dr. Greenwood's husband, Dr. Mike Greenwood was a nationally recognized educator and scholar who also worked in the Department of KNSM and they have one son, Bryson.
