Dr. Inoue obtained her Ph.D. in Movement Science from Sao Paulo State University in Brazil and her research focus is on immune-skeletal muscle-brain crosstalk and exercise training as an intervention to improve cognitive function, mental health and quality of life. Her work experience includes body composition and cardiopulmonary assessments, clinical trials involving multidisciplinary interventions of obesity, and exploration of the immunometabolism of different exercise training protocols. As a postdoctoral of the Molecular Muscle Physiology Laboratory, leaded by Dr. Janini Gomes, Dr. Inoue is investigating the effects of aerobic training on several models of low-grade chronic inflammation (pulmonary arterial hypertension, toxicity of doxorubicin and aging projects) and their impact on signaling pathways related to skeletal muscle atrophy in rats.
