Kristen Shumbera graduated from the University of North Florida with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. While teaching kindergarten, she pursued a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education and graduated in May 2007. After teaching for over ten years in the public school classroom, she transitioned to Texas A&M University. She is currently working on her Doctorate of Education through Texas A&M University, focusing on teacher stress and burnout.
In addition, Kristen is the academic advisor for Aggie Aspiring Educators Rising, SLAM, and FADE.
