Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Sweany is a Clinical Professor of Learning Design & Technology for the Department of Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University and currently serves as the Associate Department Head for Graduate Academic Affairs. She teaches a variety of graduate courses in the Learning Design & Technology program, including Emerging Technologies, Integrating Technology in Learning Environments, Instructional Design, and Designing for Mobile Learning. Her research interests focus on best practices for teaching and learning online and enhancing self-regulation in online learning environments. She currently leads the Learning Design & Technology online M.Ed. program. Dr. Sweany has been named an Exemplary Distance Educator by Texas A&M and received the Department of Educational Psychology's Outstanding Teaching Award for 2017-2018. In 2019, she received the Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement in Teaching award for the College of Education and Human Development.
