CERD ACHIEVE Program Manager
Robert Pettit is the Program Manager for Aggie ACHIEVE, a postsecondary education initiative at Texas A&M University designed to empower young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through inclusive academic, social, and professional experiences. In this capacity, Robert plays an integral role in the administration, coordination, and advancement of the program’s mission, ensuring that each student receives the support and guidance necessary to achieve personal, academic, and vocational success.

Robert earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Sam Houston State University (2002) and subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Human Behavior at Liberty University (2022). His academic pursuits have provided a robust foundation in cognitive, behavioral, and social sciences, equipping him with a nuanced understanding of human development and the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities.

Prior to his tenure at Aggie ACHIEVE, Robert served as a Service Coordinator for the Local Intellectual and Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA), where he was responsible for comprehensive case management and individualized service planning. In this role, he collaborated extensively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to design and implement person-centered plans tailored to each individual’s aspirations and support needs.

At Aggie ACHIEVE, Robert works in close partnership with the program’s director to ensure the holistic development of students. His responsibilities encompass program development, interdepartmental collaboration, student mentorship, and the strategic enhancement of support services. Robert’s depth of experience, empathetic leadership style, and unwavering dedication to advocacy make him an invaluable asset to the Aggie ACHIEVE team and the broader university community.
