Vicki L. Gibson, PhD, is a Professor of Practice in the College of Education, Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture, at Texas A&M University. Dr. Gibson was the Founding Director and Owner of four private-for-profit preschools that served children ages 2-12 years. Dr. Gibson has been an author of reading programs and a national presenter for McGraw Hill Education since 2000. She has authored numerous children's books and comprehensive preschool curricula for children ages 2-6 years while serving as an author and national presenter for Benchmark Education and Cambium Learning. Dr. Gibson was the CEO/Owner of Gibson Hasbrouck & Associates, a private educational consulting firm that published books and provided guidance for enhancing instruction by developing routines and procedures for efficient classroom management and improving effectiveness of teaching and learning. Dr. Gibson has taught preschool, elementary regular and SPED, and university classes. Her focus has always been classroom and behavioral management, curriculum design and implementation that improves student and teacher outcomes.
